FAQs
Questions about website design for consultants
I work under NDAs. Can I still show case studies?
Yes. Anonymised case studies work well: the sector, the size of the business, the problem and the outcome, without naming anyone. A sentence like a mid-sized manufacturer in the North West carries most of the weight.
Should I put my day rate on the site?
Usually not, because consultancy is priced per engagement. What helps is a sense of scale, such as typical project length or a from figure, so people can self-select before they get in touch.
I have a LinkedIn profile. Is that enough?
LinkedIn proves you exist. It does not let you set out your services, own your search terms or take enquiries on your terms, and you do not control it. Most consultants use both, with the website as the thing they actually own.
How long until it is live?
We aim to send your first draft within ten working days of having everything we need, which in practice means ten working days from you finishing the setup form. Up to three review changes are included, and it goes live as soon as you are happy.
Do I have to write the words?

Professional and Premium include one small update a month. Beyond that, changes are £10 plus VAT each. You email us what you want changed, you do not log in and do it yourself unless you want to.
Can I pay for the website up front instead?
Yes. Pay monthly is what most of our customers choose, but if you would rather pay for the build in one go, the traditional way, we will quote for that too. It is priced separately, as the design plus the domain and hosting, so just ask and we will put a price together.
